How your apprenticeship at Bekum works.
Your first apprenticeship year takes place with our training partner Voith in St. Pölten, where you build a strong technical foundation.
From the second year onwards, you are directly at Bekum and work step by step on real technology in special-purpose machine engineering.
If you like, you can combine your apprenticeship with the Austrian Matura qualification and create additional opportunities for your future.
You start your first apprenticeship year with our training partner Voith in St. Pölten. There, you learn the technical basics, materials, and key skills.
From the second year onwards, you are directly at Bekum, get to know machines, processes, and teams, and gradually take on more responsibility.
If you want to create additional opportunities, you can combine your apprenticeship with the Matura qualification.
After completing your apprenticeship, you have very good chances of long-term employment at Bekum.
How to start your apprenticeship at Bekum.

- Taster day: Get a first-hand look at your potential future job and see if the tasks match your expectations.
- Apprenticeship test & interview: In an approximately one-hour test, you show your potential. Afterwards, we discuss all open questions personally — and you receive your result directly afterwards.
- Your apprenticeship offer: If it is the right fit for both sides, you receive your offer and begin your path at Bekum.
- Onboarding: From there, we support you step by step into your apprenticeship and your team.

- Friendliness, technical interest, and genuine curiosity are more important to us than perfect answers.
- Good German skills at B2 level help you confidently handle work plans, drawings, and vocational school.
If these fundamentals are a good fit, school grades are secondary for us. A solid foundation in mathematics (grades 1–3) is helpful so you can progress well in vocational school.
Especially important are willingness to learn, the courage to ask questions, openness to new things, and flexibility in the team.
