Vertical Mounting. Full Performance.
Our extruders can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Mounted vertically, they combine with the Tri-Ex head to form a particularly compact system for 3-layer processing — including PCR inner layers with even melt distribution through a CFD-optimized spiral distributor. On space-critical lines, this lets you retrofit multi-layer capability without replacing your existing equipment — regardless of manufacturer.
The extruders themselves are based on proven grooved-bushing technology with a 30D barrel length and are available in sizes from 20 to 40 mm. A high-efficiency drive delivers shorter cycle times at lower energy consumption, newly developed screw geometries ensure consistent melt quality, and wall thickness adjustment can be actuated hydraulically or electrically — controlled via Bekum's own BC 8.0 control system. Head and extruder come from a single source, with a correspondingly matched interface and responsibility.
