With the patented C-frame and the exclusive e-Twin-Toggle system, Bekum offers two purpose-built key technologies for the extrusion blow molding machine. The C-frame delivers even clamping force distribution across the full mold width, ensuring perfect platen parallelism – even at high output. The e-Twin-Toggle system relies on low-friction, long-life mechanics with precise force transmission, noticeably reducing maintenance requirements. The system can dynamically adjust clamping force during pinch-off, enables automatic mold thickness adjustment at mold change, and runs especially energy-efficiently thanks to fully electric drives.

With Bekum Control 8.0, your blow molding machine’s control system becomes more powerful than ever. The 24-inch Full HD touch display with eight freely configurable quick-select fields ensures clear operation and short training times. A customisable dashboard lets you monitor throughput, energy, compressed air and water consumption in real time, so you can optimise production based on data. Thanks to TwinSafe safety technology and secure network segregation, the control system is fully integrated into machine safety, while VPN-encrypted remote maintenance with augmented reality support delivers fast assistance regardless of location. Existing Bekum machines can also be retrofitted with Bekum Control 8.0.

In extrusion blow molding, Bekum consistently relies on fully electric drives: the HiPEx 36D extruders cut energy consumption by up to 20% through direct-drive gearing and IE5 motors. The clamping drive, carriage movement, extruder tilt and blow stations, as well as the die head’s wall thickness control, also run fully electrically. Modern heating systems shorten heat-up and restart times, reducing energy consumption during downtime. Demand-based motion profiles further reduce energy requirements – for more economical and sustainable production with your blow molding machine.

With spiral mandrel die heads, Bekum enables precise control of wall thickness and layer structure – minimising material usage while maintaining consistent product stability. Integrating regrind and fillers further reduces material consumption, while fast colour changes with minimal material waste improve cost-effectiveness. Dynamic die-head wall thickness control also improves cooling and cycle time for your blow molding machine.

Multi-Layer | Multi-Layer Technology for Maximum Functionality
Up to 7 material layers for optimum product protection in the extrusion blow molding machine.
With Bekum’s co-extrusion and multi-layer technology, up to 7 material layers can be combined in a single blow molding process. EVOH barrier layers extend product shelf life by up to 12 months, while spiral mandrel die heads ensure even layer distribution. A PP inner layer enables hot filling, while the combination of recycled HDPE and a barrier layer brings together sustainability and functionality in your packaging.
Quick Mold Change | Flexibility That Pays Off
Tool-free mold changes without recalibration for your blow molding machine.
Bekum enables mold changes without tools and without recalibration – for maximum flexibility in production. A bayonet quick-change system is available for larger formats, while smaller machines use the Bekum quick-change system with spring-loaded locking. An integrated roller table makes it easier to access the mold, while automatic centring and alignment ensure short set-up times and high repeat accuracy.
High Output | More Production in Less Time
Multi-cavity, tandem blow and high-speed production for maximum output from your blow molding machine.
With its multi-cavity concept, Bekum produces up to 24 articles per cycle by making optimal use of the platen width. The tandem blow process doubles output through base-to-base blowing, reaching up to 18,000 pieces per hour – ideal for smaller packaging. For large-volume containers such as 20-litre jerry cans, high-speed production with an external cooling line delivers up to 240 pieces per hour for maximum production performance.
